Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-17
Draft for legal review. These terms are a working draft and must be reviewed by a qualified Indian lawyer before launch.
1. Who we are
HelpingShoulders ("we", "the Platform") is operated by Zopytech Ltd (https://www.zopytech.com), headquartered in Andhra Pradesh, India. Contact: helpingshoulders@zopytech.com.
2. What the Platform does
HelpingShoulders is a marketplace that connects customers with verified local heroes who run errands and tasks for the customer's family and friends. Heroes are individuals who have registered with us; we verify identity documents but we do not guarantee any outcome of a task.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. Staff accounts (managers, heroes, HR, finance, admin) are created or approved by us and may be suspended at any time.
4. Booking and payment
- A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Emergency bookings cost more than pre-booked slots. Pre-bookings need advance notice as shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
- If no hero can be assigned, we will refund the booking in full. Other cancellation and refund terms are set out at checkout.
5. Arrival code and service time
On arrival the hero asks for your six-digit code. Entering it starts the timer. The chat with your hero stays open only while the timer runs. Share the code only when you are satisfied the right person has arrived.
6. Customer responsibility
After you book, you are responsible for the accuracy of the address, contact details and instructions you give, for the safety of the premises, and for the conduct of the people you arrange the service for. You must not ask a hero to do anything unlawful, unsafe or outside the service you booked.
7. Limits of our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zopytech Ltd and HelpingShoulders act only as an intermediary and are not liable for loss, damage, injury, delay or dissatisfaction arising from a task, from acts or omissions of heroes, managers or customers, or from circumstances outside our control. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
8. Staff conduct
Heroes and managers must be 18 or older, hold valid identity documents and, for driving tasks, a valid driving licence. They must follow the law and our safety rules. Breach can lead to removal and withholding of pending earnings where the law allows.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Platform, attempt to access data you are not entitled to, share your login, or use the chat to harass or take the relationship off the Platform to avoid fees.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; you will be asked to accept the new version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Andhra Pradesh having jurisdiction.
